"I'll do my best," Natalia replied, glancing over to Anthony before she continued. "When I came to the school, I believed I was a ballet dancer from Russia. I believed I had studied at the Bolshoi, and then in New York. I came to this school because I wanted to challenged academically. I was fascinated by engineering and robotics." She paused, blushing faintly without looking over at Anthony. "I was fascinated with Anthony. I wanted to get to know him, to learn more about what he did. I shared most of this with people I believed to be my parents at home in Russia."
She stopped again, this time for longer. She still didn't look at Anthony, feeling strange about telling the story like this. She wasn't trying to sugarcoat things, or hold anything back, but... she hadn't talked to Anthony about it like this before. She took a deep breath, and continued.
"The day it happened, I..." She paused. "I was excited, and curious to learn about what Anthony had been working on. It all sounded so fascinating. And then when we were in the lab, I received a phone call. I don't remember it very clearly, but afterwards - I felt different. I thought differently. I knew I had to distract Anthony, that it was very important that I did that. And so I did." She coloured faintly again, remembering the way in which she'd distracted him.
"Then they threatened him. They weren't happy with what they found, and they wanted to take him with them. I tried to stop them and they just -- stopped me. I'm not sure how. They said something, and I passed out. It wasn't until Johnny came along and found me that I woke up." She looked at Jean.
"There's also - I seem to be able to do things instinctively. Mostly fighting. I don't remember learning how to, but I can. And I can shoot, I don't recall learning that either." She pressed her lips together. "I think that's everything."
