John nodded, "Yeah, makes sense. Lots of sense. Maybe you can make it your new mantra, mate. Maybe we all can." He was ready to put the year behind them. It tested everyone he knew and cared about, all his friends, the girl he loved, and god, they all needed this, didn't they? He placed his barely touched drink on the table, not showing any particular interest in it anymore. He was probably thinking clearer when he was sober, and he could make another toast, but eh.
"So, what changes you going to make, mate?" he asked, "New outlook, right? Gotta have some sort of things you want to do. Skydiving? Bungee jumping? Not falling asleep during one of Professor Logan's lectures?" Though it was hard to fall asleep when you were paranoid about the possibility of waking up to claws in your face. Not that Logan ever would, but it was one of those things nobody every wanted to try.
