Artie couldn't talk like everyone else, so he had to use his own special ways of communication. While the tickle had been affectionate, the response it got was a little worrisome. Artie's eyebrows drew down close to his eyes in. Frown. He shook his head and nodded. Obviously that was a confusing gesture so Artie tried to figure out how to respond.
Very slowly, Artie signed to make sure Jimmy could see. His movements were slow, slow as molasses in winter to him. [i like you too.] Artie didn't add 'as a friend' because wasn't sure how he liked Jimmy but it was more than just friendship. His hand slowly moved to Jimmy's face and he turned it so they were looking at one another. Artie nodded his head decisively and then looked back at the screen, resting his head on Jimmy's shoulder. He fished out the remote, then fished out Jimmy's hand and put it in his palm. He just wanted to be close to Jimmy so it didn't really matter what they watched.
