She didn't know how it was possible, nor did she question it, but right now she simultaneously wanted to hit 'Star (she wouldn't) and have him comfort her. There was a war raging inside of her just below the surface and instead of acting on these feelings, other than cry more, she just held still as he came closer to her, sat on the edge of the bed and wiped away her tears. She knew what she was feeling was unfair he had ended up just as injured as anyone else, which was why she ultimately yielded to him.
Alison nodded and slowly moved over, gingerly. She was very much still not well herself and it hurt to move.
