"I had a good day. School here is hard, but I take lots of notes and go over everything I don't understand with Heather. It's hard at the beginning, but I think it'll get easier once I catch up with everyone else. This was my first time on the shuttle. Did you know about it? It runs three times a day and one of the times is right after classes and another time is late so you arrive just before curfew, so it's really easy. It runs both ways, so you can come see me too! OMG, I almost forgot! I brought you a present."
She dropped her arms finally to take off her backpack—a light blue color with sparkly snowflakes—and rummage around inside. After a moment, she pulled out a plastic food container. "Blueberries!" she said, offering it to Illyana. "From the garden. I picked them myself just before I got on the shuttle so they're nice and fresh."
