MUTATED PSL TIMELINE
This is by no means a comprehensive list of events in the timeline. Rachel and Brett, please add in the comments section details you'd like for me to add, such as the ages of your characters. For instance, I imagine Kitty Pryde was 13 or 14 when she joined the X-Men, and Rogue is of similar age to Iceman, but it's up to Rachel.
Forty-Seven Years Ago (1968)
--Tony Stark (later Iron Man) is born.
Thirty-One Years Ago (1984)
--Ororo Monro (later Storm) is born.
Thirty Years Ago (1985)
--Greer Grant (later Tigra) is born.
--Cindy Moon (later Silk) is born.
--Peter Parker (later Spider-Man) is born.
Twenty-Nine Years Ago (1986)
--Scott Summers (later Cyclops) is born.

Fifteen Years Ago (2000)
--Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Ben Grimm, and Johnny Storm are bombarded by cosmic radiation in space. Upon their return to Earth, they develop superhuman abilities.
--Scott Summers (age 14) manifests optic blasts.
--Reed Richards and his team debut as the Fantastic Four.
--The U.S. Military begins hunting a large gray-skinned creature known as the Hulk.
Fourteen Years Ago (2001)
--Thor Odinson, claiming to be the Norse God of Thunder, begins championing Midgard.
--Bobby Drake's (age 13) ice powers manifest.
May
--Peter Parker (age 16) and Cindy Moon (age 17) attend a science expo at Empire State University. There, they're each bitten by a genetically-enhanced spider that grants them superhuman abilities.
--Billionaire weapons contractor Tony Stark, while oversees demonstrating a new weapons system, is mortally injured and captured by a local terrorist cell, forced to construct weapons for them. He improvises a miniature arc reactor to keep his heart beating.
June
--Peter Parker as Spider-Man debuts as a television-show entertainer. Weeks later, he hunts down and assaults the killer of Ben Parker from Queens.
August
--After months of captivity, Tony Stark completes a suit of reactor-powered armor that allows him to escape. He returns to the United States and begins to refine his armor designs.
September
--Tony Stark debuts as Iron Man, a public hero in the tradition of the Fantastic Four.
--Thanks to the presence of an emerging intelligence agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., the September 11th attack on the World Trade Center fails to happen, but the persistence of superpowered beings -- especially mutants -- leads to heightened global security measures.
--Jean Grey (age 16) joins the X-Men, meeting Scott Summers (age 16) and Bobby Drake (age 14); the next day they fight Magneto for the first time.
--Iron Man, Ant Man, Wasp, Thor, and the Hulk form the Avengers after teaming up to stop Thor's brother Loki.
Thirteen Years Ago (2002)
--The Avengers discover Captain America floating in the Atlantic Ocean, still partially frozen. He thaws out and soon joins the team.
--Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants debuts.
--The wedding of Reed Richards and Susan Storm of the Fantastic Four becomes a media phenomenon on the level of the Prince Charles/Princess Diana wedding.
--Bolivar Trask unveils his mutant-hunting Sentinel robots, which almost immediately turn on their creator.
--The cosmic being known as Galactus arrives on Earth, preceded by his herald, the Silver Surfer, who regains a sense of his humanity and betrays Galactus, sparing Earth.
Twelve Years Ago (2003)
--Charles Xavier encounters Ororo Monro (age 19) and convinces her that she is a mutant. She joins him on his trip back to New York and becomes a member of the X-Men.
--Franklin Richards (later Tattletale, Psi-Lord) is born.
--Greer (age 18) marries her long-time boyfriend, Bill Nelson.
--Anna Marie's (age 14) powers manifest, leaving the boy she kissed in a permanent coma. She runs away from home.
Eleven Years Ago (2004)
--Artie Maddicks is born.
--Greer Grant's (age 19) husband Bill Nelson is killed.
--Lorna Dane (age 15), suspected of being Magneto's daughter, joins the X-Men, taking the codename Polaris.
--Leech is born.
--Scott Summers (age 17) is reunited with his long-lost brother Alex Blanding (age 15), who becomes known as Havok.
--Anna Marie (age 15) is found and adopted by Raven Darkholme and Irene Adler, two associates of Magneto who are in the process of forming their own Brotherhood of Mutants cell as Mystique and Destiny.
Ten Years Ago (2005)
--Sarah (later Marrow) is born.
Nine Years Ago (2006)
--Second Genesis team of X-Men forms, led by Scott Summers (age 20). The previous team of X-Men elect to leave the X-Men, with the exception of Ororo Monro (age 22).
--Greer Grant (age 21) willingly undergoes experimental treatments meant to boost human potential. The experiment fails and Greer transforms into Tigra.
--Bobby Drake (age 18) begins his freshman year of college, majoring in accounting.
Eight Years Ago (2007)
--Scott and Ororo bond and deal with a threat to the Savage Land. "The Age Where the Silver Meets the Savage"
--Katherine "Kitty" Pryde (age 13) manifests her phasing ability and first meets the X-Men.
--"Dark Phoenix Saga"
Seven Years Ago (2008)
--Formation of New Mutants while the X-Men battle the Brood out in Shi'Ar space.
--Storm duels with Callisto over the leadership of the Morlocks; Storm wins the fight and badly injures Callisto.
--Rogue (age 19) joins the X-Men, despite protests from other team members.
Six Years Ago (2009)
--Greer Grant (age 24) meets the Avengers and becomes a reserve member of the team.
Five Years Ago (2010)
--The "Mutant Massacre", masterminded by Mister Sinister and carried about by the Marauders and (reluctantly) Gambit, wipes out a vast majority of Morlocks. Leech (age 6) and Sarah (age 5) are orphaned in the process.
--Formation of Excalibur. Kitty Pryde (age 16) is among the roster.
Three Years Ago (2012)
--"Outback Era"
--Jubilation Lee (age 14) first meets the X-Men in a Hollywood Mall.
Two Years Ago (2013)
--Formation of X-Force.
--Formation of Blue and Gold X-Men teams.
Last Year (2014)
--Formation of Generation X. Jubilation Lee (age 16) transfers to the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, now based in Snow Valley, Massachusetts at the site of the former Massachusetts Academy.
--Bobby Drake (age 27) brings Rogue (age 26) along for a visit to his parents, William and Madeline. Bobby's home life is revealed; Rogue calls out his father for being a bigot.
This Year (2015)
--Generation X visit Manhattan, running afoul of a Morlock terrorist group called Gene Nation, led by an adult Sarah (now Marrow, age 19 instead of 10). In the process, Artie Maddicks and Leech (both age 11) join Generation X as younger students.
--A temporal anomaly occurs throughout reality at the same time Rogue and Remy LeBeau kiss, leaving Remy in a coma for an unexpected length of time.
--Rogue (age 26) and Bobby Drake (age 27) embark on a road trip to get away from the mansion and their own problems. The trip gets longer and longer as Rogue engages in increasingly self-destructive behavior.
May
--Kitty Pryde (age 21) guest-lectures an ethics class at Xavier's School, interacting with Jubilee (age 16) in a way that leaves Jubilee questioning her sexual preference. "Class Begins"
--While staying at a motel in Portland, Rogue and Bobby end up in a sexual encounter once they realize Bobby's low body temperature doesn't trigger her power. Bobby's rising body heat complicates the matter, causing her to absorb his life-force -- and accidentally, the mental image of Emma Frost in Bobby's mind. "What a Trip"
--Callisto and Colossus return to the X-Mansion, recruiting the X-Men for a mission to stop Gene Nation on the five-year anniversary of the Morlock Massacre. Storm ends up dueling with Marrow and tearing out one of her hearts. A Gene Nation member named Reverb psychically attacks Storm, blocking her powers.
--Rogue and Bobby drive to Seattle, finding an abandoned theater, Remy LeBeau, and the Marauders. Remy's former connection with the Marauders and his culpability in the Morlock Massacre is revealed. He leaves the team. "Something Sinister In Seattle"
--Rogue and Bobby take a trip back to New York. They stop in Long Island to visit Bobby's parents. Afterward they return to the X-Mansion, scandalizing their friends who find out that they're now a couple.
June
--Kitty Pryde returns to Xavier's School for another lecture, finding that Jubilee is now dating classmate Everett Thomas (age 16). "The Return of Kitty Pryde"
--Greer Nelson (age 30), the reserve Avenger known as Tigra, responds to a distress call at the Daily Bugle office. The source of the disturbance is a time-displaced Spider-Man (age 29) from the future, who enlists her help to avert a catastrophe. "Tomorrow Comes Today"
--Ororo Monro, depressed over the loss of her powers, has a heart-to-heart discussion with Scott Summers. "Powerless"
July
--The members of all the active X-teams -- X-Men, X-Factor, Excalibur, X-Force, and Generation X -- converge at the Xavier estate in order to celebrate both the Fourth of July and Jubilee's seventeenth birthday.
Fifty-Five Years From Now (2070)
--Miguel O'Hara (later Spider-Man 2099) is born.
Eighty-Four Years From Now (2099)
--Miguel O'Hara (age 29) becomes the new Spider-Man.
--Miguel O'Hara disappears from the present day for a short period of time, replaced by his predecessor Peter Parker (age 30). Upon his return, he accidentally brings Greer Nelson, an Avenger called Tigra (age 30) from the year 2015.
