Between Remy charging up the door handle, and Rogue's barely-contained rage strength, Bobby really wasn't liking the odds of the poor car surviving this reunion.
"Y'don' know what y'saw," Remy shot back. The violet glow dissipated from his hands and the door handle as he reabsorbed the explosive energy. This made his eyes glow instead, adding a volatile touch to his already angry demeanor.
Taking her advice, Remy opened the door and exited the car. "I ain' ever comin' back," he announced. "To de X-Men, but 'specially not t'you." His statement was punctuated by the slamming of the door, and he slipped into an alleyway and turned a corner.
Bobby figured the Cajun was busy doing a ninja disappearing act, but he honestly didn't care enough to follow. As much as he might have regretted ever thawing Gambit out -- and as much as he might have wanted to stab the Cajun in the brain (repeatedly) with a long, sharp icicle -- Rogue was the one who needed his attention.
Without a word, he leaned against her and wrapped an arm around her in as much of a hug as he could manage in the small car. His body was still as cold as usual, but he was there to offer as much support and comfort as he could.
