He was relieved to see Rogue relaxed and even smiling. He hadn't lost his touch for that at least, regardless of how much had changed between them.

Their search basically turned into a game of "getting warmer/getting colder", since neither of them actually knew where they were going or what they were looking for. Their search took them through a rundown section of town -- definitely not the place tourists usually went unless they got lost.
They soon found themselves at an abandoned theater, complete with a sign slating it for demolition in three days' time. Wonderful. "Why am I not surprised Gambit's brain pulled you here," he commented aloud as he pulled as close to the cordoned-off theater as possible. "Guess you'll have to fly us over the fence if we're gonna get any closer." Bobby was looking over his shoulder as he said this, because the theater's state of disrepair and the general condition of the neighborhood didn't instill in him a ton of hope.
