Who: Greer & Miguel What: An unexpected meeting Where: The Daily Bugle, New York When: Present Day
The Avengers Mansion was wonderful when not Avengers were around. Or, at the very least, when none of the major players could be bothered to visit. The mansion was more of a vacation home than a headquarters for one of the most famous superhero teams known the world over. There was a large kitchen stocked for the most exotic of palettes, a fully stocked bar, a state-of-the-art gym (complete with sauna) and a very large, very pristine swimming pool.
Greer may not have been interested in getting her fur wet, but she could enjoy a day in the sun. The black bikini (the woman's usual uniform) was perfect for a lazy day. While the Avengers were away, the cat would play in the sun. She had just settled down to bask in the warmth when the distress signal sounded from inside. It took her a moment to rise to answer it, but after a good stretch she padded closer to hear what the commotion was about.
"He's deranged, I tell ya! He's out of control!" The voice of the infamous J. Jonah Jameson sounded over the commstation. "This man is taking hostages! What good are you shiny, squared-jaw heroes if you aren't h-"
"That's enough, JARVIS. I'm on my way," Greer said, sounding bored. Why did trouble have to brew when she was the only one on active duty. So much for a lazy day.
