Rogue was about to offer Kitty help with the books but when Kitty put the bag up onto her shoulder didn't look too uncomfortable she thought better of it. The younger girl was stronger or at least more determined that Rogue had initially given her credit for. Well, good for Kitty.
The older girl listened with interest as the younger girl showed her around the school, making note of her explanations about this and that. If Rogue was going to stay at the school then she knew she had to make some sort of effort and learning a little about the school through Kitty's school seemed to qualify as making an effort.
As Kitty revealed that she took ballet Rogue decided that she could picture that, the young girl looked like she'd be quite graceful and if she was anywhere near as dedicated as she seemed to be to her schoolwork then she was probably really good too. Ballet seemed like such a normal thing to do and Rogue regretted that she had nothing to offer of similar normality. She hadn't done ballet or played softball or anything like that when she was a kid; they weren't the sort of activities hippie parents enrolled their children in, after all. She'd had a period of liking softball in high school when she'd stayed with her Aunt Carrie but of course that had gone out of the window when her ability had emerged, there was just too much possibility of danger when it came to sports now.
"I actually can't think of any," she smiled in spite of herself. "Everything's so different now, I guess I'll have to find new ones."
