A consequence of not having spent much time in the X-Mansion for Rogue was that a lot of things were new to her and that wasn't necessarily a good thing. It had been a long time since the teenager had regularly attended a school and even though the school Professor X ran wasn't your typical high school it still required some getting used to. Rogue had only signed up for a few classes but that was still a wave of new faces to get used to and even as the weather was beginning to warm she still consistently wore long sleeves, gloves and a scarf with her bright hair down around her face. Every inch she could cover she did, just in case accidental contact occured which could otherwise have meant that one of said new faces wouldn't be around for much longer. Though she had only been visiting the mansion for a few days to attend her classes the redhead had already established a reputation for keeping to herself. The outgoing Anna Marie had long since been replaced by a more cautious Rogue.
One particular thing Rogue had yet to grasp about the school was the range of ages of the students and how new ones seemed to show up everyday. She had noticed that there weren't grades as such but students of similar ages put together for classes. Even those classes were small so she supposed if there were real grades then there might only be a few students in some classes. Something Rogue hadn't seen any time she had been in the school building was any younger kids so she was surprised to see quite a small girl who could surely barely be a teenager curled up in a chair as she made a wrong turn into the parlor. Maybe she was someone's kid, not a student? Then again the teachers weren't very old at all so probably not. Rogue stood watching the girl for a prolonged moment, wondering what it would have been liked if her powers had emerged a few years earlier. Thoughts occupied she barely noticed the textbook slipping from her arms until it crashed against the wooden flooring.
