hungry for the meeting
Suz had actually had a good day at school, and she wanted to celebrate by making food. It was something her and her mother used to do together, especially on Fridays, but the mood was striking her now despite it's Tuesday status.
She was slightly above average in her attempts to recreate her mother's recipes. They were tasty, but all meals not prepared by one's mother never seem to have the same flavor or yumminess factor. Love or some such sappy ingredient that always seemed to make it taste better. She had not had any good traditional Chinese food since coming to the hotel, so her craving was high.
She spent a good hour or so messing around in what stood for a kitchen inside Paradise. The food was made, but the mess was astonishing. While Suzanne might be able to emulate her mother's recipes in quality of taste, she went far and beyond in the quantity of mess. She was a mess, the sink was piled high, and the stove definitely was stained with memories of different sauces due to Suzanne's particular flair for stirring.
But, that was to be fuddled with later. Food was for the eating now. And, whoever might be passing would smell the aroma of traditional and not too weird Chinese cuisine that she had more than enough to share.
