The weather had been beautiful despite the fact that it so often was in California anyway, but after a rainy spell and the first taste of the warm weather to come, it was only natural for Sarah to go out on her own. Not that she gave two shits about the temperature or possessed the ability to appreciate Spring, it simply meant more people were out at night and thus there would be more trouble to get into. Her routine was almost habitual now, spending a few days at the hotel only to disappear off to God knew where for a given length of time, and while she was more of a threat to people than they could ever be to her, it was this very habit and predisposition which had made her so obliviously vulnerable. ( Beyond her natural charisma, Sarah Rushman had an obvious, physical presence. )
