1. Don't be stupid. The most important rule there is out there. The students may be young adults, true, but that doesn't mean they run around squealing like tweens, using their 'net speak bcuz itz soooooooooooooooo kewl!!1111111!!. Just don't be stupid, or we'll set you on fire. Don't test us.
2. Be active online. The worst thing is having somebody join as a prime character, and then noticing that you've never once seen that character sign onto AIM, or update their journal. Don't just join for the sake of joining, people. If you're not active, you'll get a warning. Three strikes and you're out. I love sports analogies, don't you?
3. Update. Yes, this is the dreaded rule about how often you have to update your journals. We'd LIKE to see at least one substantial update every weeks. A couple paragraphs four times a month. That's not too hard, is it? Also, if you have multiple characters, the update limit counts for all of them. One update in total, not one update PER character. That's right, I am that nice. Just make sure not to favor one of your kids over the others. Keep it as consistent as possible. Of course, feel free to update as frequently as you like. More updates means better relationships between characters.
4. Be respectful. For god's sake, be respectful, ya little jerks. If somebody does something that pisses you off, don't wage war against them. I'm not saying you have to like everybody in the community, because I know that's wishful thinking. But don't be openly hostile to somebody, just because their character sunk their claws into the piece of ass you had your eyes on. That's not cool, man. Not cool. Also, keep IC shit IC. Know what that means, kids? In.Character. I'll use the piece of ass example again. This goes for OOC drama too. Let's say, for example, you don't like Jane who plays Johnny? Fine. Don't like Jane. Ignore Jane's very being. But if you play say... Johnny's sister, don't have her be all 'OMG I HATE YOU JOHNNY!!!!!!11' just because your feelings for Jane are less than fuzzy. Let's prove that we're all mature players. Or at least pretend we are.
5. No Godmodding. This should be self explanatory. If you want to involve someone else's character in a storyline, run it by them first. This goes for pregnancies, major injuries, and plots to take over the world.
6. Pimp us. This isn't an actual rule, more of a suggestion. ^_^ You'll get modsex if you do. There is no better sex than that from mods. Think about it.
7. Don't bite off more than you can chew. We've got a character limit here at MP, like so many other RPGs. The mods have decided that three is a good number to have, but it may be updated to four in the future, if everyone remains active. Please don't apply for characters when you have no real intention of playing them. Also, if you're struggling to keep the kids you already have active, please don't pick up that third character. It's common sense, right?
8. Introductory update. Before you apply please make an introductory post in your journal. Tell us who your character is and what they are all about. If you don't have an introductory post before applying for the role then we will not accept your application.
9. Friends Only Please keep your journal friends only!
