"Well..." she cleared her throat again and rubbed the back of her neck. "...to see him." She was lying, and she hated it, but she couldn't really think of anything better on such short notice. She was still fixating on the fact that she'd just met her grandmother. She didn't have time to deal with Daryl's crazy need to understand every tiny detail of her personal life at the moment. It wasn't exactly her personal life so much as Thomas', but she was sure he didn't want this to get out anytime soon.
Not even bothering to do her usual disrobing ritual, she plopped down on the couch, dropping the bag at her feet, but held onto the beige envelope that held the papers Alfie had given her. "You're not interested in that stuff, so why don't you let it be?" She wasn't even sure if the old woman was her grandmother, but she spoke like her. She also just handed her papers saying that all her stuff would be hers when she was gone. She didn't expect Jane to try and get acquainted with her? That was a woman's life work. She owed it to her at least, if she accepted.
