"You got no idea," came the reply around a mouthful of ice cream, all cheeky and teasing and seemingly oblivious to any secondary meaning attached to the words. Harry didn't think that way anyway, and any meaning aside from the first completely passed him by, or at least aside from as a joke.
He nodded at Tim's question, undaunted by his evident distaste for the idea. He'd convert him sooner or later. "S'good! Like Black Forest cake with a little somethin' extra. Just gets boring if you don't mix it up now an' again."
Once the ice cream was gone, Harry went back to fiddling with the napkin, fingers needing something to do, humming something that sounded suspiciously like 'Little Bunny Foo-Foo' under his breath as he did to fill the silence. Slowly the rabbit from earlier began to re-emerge, although it was deconstructed and redone at least three times before he was happy with it. Finally, unable to tolerate the lack of conversation anymore, he abandoned the rabbit and looked back up at Tim. "So....we got the dinner part done with, I think the next part of these kindsa things is up. Unless you were really serious about it just bein' a thank you thing an' weren't plannin' on the movie part or whatever the cool cats an' happenin' dudes are doin' these days." He seemed uncertain, fairly sure he'd read the situation right but not entirely sure since he knew he had a track record of getting it wrong. But he figured just going for it was the best option, get all the cards out so to speak and figure it out from there.
