Sydney felt a surge of victorious glee wash through her as he nodded, and her grin grew to ridiculous proportions. "Perfect!" she said, clasping her hands together and standing up as he shuffled his papers into order and locked up for the night. She grabbed her purse from where she'd let it rest next to the chair legs and swung it over her shoulder again.
Turning back to him, she realized quickly that he was expecting her to pick the place. She didn't really know anything about the area and good places to go, yet, but she thought back to her walk to work to try and recall what she'd seen. "Well, it's a bit late," she said pensively, finger tapping her chin. "Oh!" Finger thrust in the air, her eyebrows lifted in a 'eureka' look. "Let's go to that diner down the street. It looked sooo adorable, and I'm sure it'll still be open right now. Is that okay with you?" She looked back at him expectantly as she walked backwards out of his office, leaning on the doorjamb and waiting for him to follow her out and lock his door.
