Once the smile was on her, Sam faltered. Just a bit. It wasn't often she'd admit to herself someone looked well...nice, but she didn't need that smile. At all. Her hand fell to her side and she tore her eyes from him to Luke. There was a slight question in her glance - just to see if she was the only one unnerved by this man (or if it was simply a girlish-attraction thing, though she wouldn't have anything against Luke if he liked boys and oh god, she needed to stop overthinking this.) She took a deep breath, then looked back.
"We're wondering about the building and the - um, whole powers things. 'Cause we're so new, we haven't figured ours out yet." She grimaced. If they had any powers. "Is it true the powers don't work in here? You don't happen to know yours, do you?" If he didn't then she was hightailing it out of there, pronto. A chill had just gone down her spine.
