Ruefully, Dante realized that perhaps he hadn't been doing as wonderful a job of watching Sam from a distance as he'd thought. He was losing his touch, which was dangerous, all things considered. Though he'd been keeping just far enough away to keep catching glimpses of her (and the other girl, and the young man who he disliked on principle) all night, he could have sworn that she wouldn't have seen him.
He turned with a bright smile, barely sparing the other male a glance before turning the full force of it on Ssm. "I would be very glad to help you."
