Jennifer stopped moving, one hand still in her jacket. This was a poor place to go looking for trouble--even still, catching someone unaware without a weapon or ability as leverage left a noticeable effect. Taking a breath, she turned toward the person behind her.
It was difficult to make out a genuine profile from the small portion of his body that she could see. The cape did a great deal to obscure his heavy build, the outline of his broad shoulders and formidable height only barely coming into view. Definitely not Mr. Noboby then, but another Creation who liked to hide behind a cowl of anonymity. And unlike the vigilante in face-paint from days before, this man was methodical and more prepared by far. If they had met anywhere else, Jennifer might have tried to draw a weapon. Watching his movements, she kept her posture relaxed while facing him.
"Yeah, that's me," she answered cautiously. "Looking for something in particular?"
