She took the last two steps into the water, and then she ducked back in and soaked her hair. The dress was heavy now, sinking into the blueness, but it was shallow enough that there wasn't any danger in it. She turned to face him, her arms skimming over the surface of the water as she looked at him. "You came," she said simply, because there'd been doubt. She took a few steps closer, but not close enough to touch. "Cassidy," she said, letting him know she remembered his name. "Your eyes are blue as the water."
