Dreaming was one of Hazel's favorite things to do. It was very easy to get completely lost in a dream, especially a day dream, and even better a day dream about pretty boys without shirts waiting on her. She knew she was asleep, so she wasn't actually daydreaming. And there was also the fact that there were no shirtless boys. Instead, she was sitting in the middle of a field of flowers, surrounded by animals in various, powdery shades of pink and blue and purple. She was wearing a simple pinkish dress, and her feet were bare. Wiggling them against the dirt, she smiled to herself. This was a nice dream to be having. Especially after her day.
It hadn't surprised her to find she had nearly failed her math class. She was trying so hard, but it was just a plain difficult class. Poppy could only help her so much, and her animals friends were no help at all. They couldn't find the area under a curve that didn't actually exist. It was a miracle most of them could count to ten. She sighed and flopped back, wondering if there was supposed to be more to this dream, or if it was her brain giving her a break. Not a particularly lucid dreamer, the fact that she was even aware of her dream was a bit striking. But she wasn't too concerned about that.
In fact, she wasn't too concerned about anything. Stretching her hands over her head, she laid down on the grass, with squirrels and bunnies pressed against her. They were warm and cuddly. "You're all very nice," she told them.
