WHO: Alexis and Silas WHAT: Trying to figure out wtf is going on in Alex’s apartment; maybe rehashing wtf went on at the bank holdup. You know, stuff. WHERE: Hamartia 501 WHEN: The evening after the Joker Plot WARNINGS: UM. None, but will update if we get crazy.
The strange goings-on at Alex’s apartment hadn’t died down after she agreed to have Silas over for dinner, but thankfully they hadn’t gotten worse. Things were still falling off shelves or ending up across the room and still she had no idea what was causing it. She didn’t have much in the way of furniture or décor, but she was getting pretty annoyed that there was always something breaking in her apartment. Her sleep patterns weren’t getting better either, not that she expected them to. Like always, she went through days without sleep, only finding slumber when her body absolutely could not take it. The dreams only got stranger and she was constantly waking up to the sensation of floating, or falling. She didn’t pay too much attention to them though; dreams were never meant to make sense.
By the time the evening rolled around, Alex was no more tired than when she last met Silas. She didn’t have much to do in the way of getting ready. This wasn’t a date—Actually she wasn’t sure what this was, but that didn’t stop her from dressing up rather than down. Her tight dark green sweater dress was the only indication that it was even remotely cold outside, but the low scooped neckline and the high hemline took away from the protection that could have been offered. Brown knee high boots made the ensemble a little more practical, but not much.
He was the one cooking so she went through and made sure her kitchen was clean. That too all of ten minutes. As he waited she helped herself to a glass of red wine, the bottle waiting back on the small dining table, and quietly watched the newscaster talk about the situation at the bank earlier that afternoon. When she heard the knock on her door she set the glass back down, turned down the TV, and opened it to see if it was him.
