Angie had spent the last few days unpacking things. Everything was as it should be. Correction. Everything that she had brought was as it should be. The apartment itself was simple looking. The curtains she'd installed the other day were a dark red. Most of the furniture was heavy, solid wood. She would've been afraid the floor would give out if not for the fact that she'd lived in worse off places.
She'd cleaned it up properly, thrown on a fresh coat of paint in some darker colors and thought of actually applying some wallpaper, but she had work to do. There were connections to be made, supplies to be picked up, and dark places to lurk. Getting the stove fixed was just one of the last things she needed. Just her luck the handy man posted up something about being able to help her with that. Well, she wasn't sure if it was fixable, but if she could avoid having to buy a new stove, that would've been much appreciated.
Angie had given her apartment a good sweep, just in case she needed to ask him about other things while he was there. Who knew how busy he'd be in a building like this? She'd made sure to stock the cupboards with some essentials, and put the perishables in the fridge. She didn't want to be completely inhospitable to him, even if he did come over to work. She'd used the coffee pot to heat up some water if he wanted some tea...or something.
Her lap top was open on the kitchen counter. She was seated in the stool in front of it. She tapped her foot on the bottom rung as she waited, surfing the internet.
