Sam took the paper with an encouraging smile, glancing over it. What was on the paper or how it was drawn didn't matter; Lily deserved to know that what she did was awesome. No one could bring that down. It was important with kids. "This is really cool," she said. It was an exaggeration on slang, but kids liked that. "Did you really do this all by yourself? Wow." There was a shy smile from Lily and Sam returned it fiercely.
She was nodding as the coughing hit; reaction time immediately concerned. A hand fell from the paper as she reached for the girl's back. But Lily didn't seem bothered, going back to pointing out shading a moment later. Over the top of Lily's head, Sam gave Toby a firm nod. "That'd be good."
