Re: 13:20 CAB
"She can't stay alone," Wren said, her voice softly pleading. Her grip on Hal's arm left no doubt that she didn't want to go into that hospital, bloodied fingers and all, even though her tone was calm. If something happened to Nobody, if they needed to make a decision, someone needed to be there. "She can't just be left alone; she's only a child," she said with a sort of maturity that was augmented by an elegant turns of words and taught-refined speech.
If Eve wouldn't go, she would, no matter how she didn't want to. "Charlie's okay?" she asked Hal quietly, needing to at least know that before going in. Somehow, finding one related connection in this world was important, just as important as the strength of Hal's arm beneath her fingertips. "Can I call for a ride once she's okay?" she asked. "I can pay," she added, not wanting to expect things from him without payment; she didn't want him thinking she was taking advantage of the situation, but she didn't want to voice the fact that she associated him with a sort of comforting safety either - she didn't want him to panic over that. "Oui?"
She didn't address Eve's mention of her injury, because it was nothing, and she knew it was nothing - she'd had worse.
