If he'd reached with a firmer grasp, the cut on her arm might have been irritated under her sleeve. But so far, this was actually the least strenuous of contact yet. There were enough hugging types as her friends for her to wince enough already. She just stared skeptically as he rambled on. Slowly her expression smoothed out, turning from wary to apologetic - embarassed to understanding. Her mind had gotten away from her enough; it just wasn't often she met someone who daydreamed as much as her and was hindered by it. (Ally being the only obvious exception.)
She didn't know who 'Jim' was by face but she'd seen his advertizements on the forums. JP had mentioned she worked for him and that he wasn't a serial killer which was generally a good thing in terms of Peter. (Besides he didn't have that...air like certain other cocky blondes she met.) She slowly tugged her arm back, shoving her hands in her pockets and smiling somewhat awkwardly - rare for her.
"No, it's - it's alright. I didn't get a part and have been...disappointed about that." Even if she'd forgotten it lately. She gave an overdramatic shrug of the shoulders, before offering a more acted-on smile. "I'm Sam. You are...?"
