Leo expected for Sara to fly off the handle a bit -- it was natural for her. After knowing her for a few years, he knew that she had a temper. Something like this, then, was bound to set her off. He watched her carefully from his spot on the couch as she stood up and rattled off some nonsense about keeping him safe from the man who had attacked her. His hands clenched on the cushion of his couch as she said her piece.
"Sit down. Sara, sit, please!" He snapped after she finished. "Don't work yourself into a fit over this. It makes no sense to do so." He paused for a minute and a tense silence fell between them. How could she justify what she did really, Leo wondered. "I know he killed Matt. I remember that day too, okay? But goodness, Sara, did you think about your other options? Kate and I would have dropped everything in a heartbeat to leave with you, and you bloody well know that! I wanted to keep you safe! Don't you think that it would be easier with the two of us by your side? I don't even know what happened yet, but I am assured that Kate and I should have been with you from the getgo."
