Discussing Seattle was always difficult because it was so unlike anywhere else. He finally nodded at her assessment, that it was in between. That was probably a good way to put it. "Something like that," he agreed. At her mention of Masks, he managed not to completely blow it, though he did return her look with a sheepish smile. "Yeah, it's really good for me. My job. I'm a photographer for the Seattle Times, now!" Good save.
As she mentioned coming in, he gasped, as if shocked he hadn't thought of that. "Of course you can come in! Sorry!" He moved inside and beckoned her after him, gesturing to the simple interior of his apartment. "It's not much, but...it's home! Do you want anything? Food? Something to drink? Somewhere to sit? There's seats over there." He pointed to the couch in the living room.
