As she climbed onto his back, he adjusted, taking her weight carefully. This was going to make his arms ache in the morning, but it would be worth it. "Firefighter-style would be nice, but I need at least one arm free for this," he replied playfully, stepping towards the nearest wall. "Now while I'm making our initial ascent, why don't you tell me where we're headed to on tonight's flight?"
From both index fingers, he shot small strings of webbing to his toes, allowing him to adhere his feet to the wall. With all ten fingers covered in sticky padding, he began to crawl upward, one side of his body at a time. He moved almost like a lizard, body swishing from side to side as he crawled upward. Thankfully, a lot of practice had allowed him to hide how difficult it was with another person on his back, the exertion contained in furrowed brows and grit teeth.
