Who: Bobby & Ellis
What: Two very grumpy men convene and discuss stuff.
Where: A small quiet cafe
When: Monday Lunch.
Warnings: Bobby yelling about things and Ellis agreeing or not agreeing, possibly making Bobby yell more.
Ellis had placed himself in a quiet corner of the cafe. He could hear people, but it was mostly unintelligible, nothing that would stick. He'd chosen this place for its particularly quiet atmosphere. He just needed a break from his current companion, who he was going to have to eventually fire. The only problem was that he would need to find a replacement first. The idea of interviewing a countless array of women was more than upsetting. He always gave them clear criteria to meet, but they always inevitably fell short. If he had been a lesser man, he probably would have developed depression by now. On the contrary, he just got irritated.
The world was going to shit at such an accelerated rate. The serial murders were making everything tense. It had such a straight forward pattern, possibly easy to tray now that they had a lead on it, but no one who had ever encountered the vigilante killer had survived, and when interviewed, those who were found around the body hadn't seen the culprit. Ellis was mulling over these things as he sipped his coffee. His thumb was scrolling through various news websites, waiting for any sign of the murders that were being covered. He didn't find anything there, but he did see two new missing persons filed to the police. Unsolved mysteries were just lose ends that needed to be tied.
Idly, he rubbed the small handle of the tiny white cup between his fingers. He never understood how people could drink the garbage they served in the oversized cups. They gulped it down without even savoring the aroma and probably never even tasted the coffee itself. Set next to it, on a small plate, was a small cake with a small fork. He had yet to touch it since sitting down near the window.
