Who: Mason and Bobby Big What: Mandatory Meeting Where: Bobby's Office When: 10:30 AM on Monday Warnings: Mild to moderate language
Ever since running Mason Monroe's article on the front page, Bobby had regretted it. Not only had it turned Max into an overgrown child, but it also seemed to have attracted negative attention from almost everyone mentioned in it. Adam Morgenstern was pissed off about his little girlfriend being mentioned, Cassidy Moran was mad because Monroe called him out on being a weird recluse, and of course Main had her panties in a bunch because she had done something stupid and was caught.
Really, Bobby didn't care that feelings were hurt. He cared that Monroe should have known better. After reading the article again and again, he started to notice little cracks. There were opinions here, language that shouldn't have been used. If one were to take paranoid Max's side, it could be seen that there was a definite divide created by the author between Main and Cooper. And of course, calling Moran a "well-known recluse" wouldn't be eased by the fact that his suit was called dashing. No, this wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. It wasn't front page, and it wasn't news. This was glamour magazine stuff, and Bobby was not happy about that. He had seen Moran's previous work. He knew that the man could do better.
He didn't like feeling like someone was messing around on his dime.
When 10:30 came around, he pressed the button on his intercom that connected him to his secretary. "Please send Mason Monroe in." The affirmative reply caused him to lean back in his chair, glancing expectantly to the door. Time to get this matter cleaned up now.
