She looked up sharply at him, holding her gaze for a few moments before softening. She sighed and cast her gaze down to her lap. At every turn, she was being told that emotions are bad, but if that were true then how could anyone be happy? Plus, if emotions were truly unnecessary, then why did they have them in the first place? "Everything happens for a reason," she replied quietly. But it was no matter. The argument would last for a lifetime and then some.
"I used my ability in the practice room. She was concerned with my use of emotions and suggested I meditate to control myself, because that is how she controls her ability. I...was too questioning of her past and she ran out." She sounded apologetic, and it was sincere. She could never quite get it right, and the dejection was obvious.
