"In pursuit," she huffed as she went after him, her breath an angry huff as she made an abrupt and graceless landing on the rooftop. The building was long and their was room to run, and she cursed herself inwardly for not having anything to throw. She reminded herself that she didn't go out for a chase, that this was only by chance, but she still hated how woefully unprepared she was.
People were talking, asking her too many questions and she answered to the best of her ability though her concentration was focused on the man ahead of her. She saw the edge of the building loom ahead of them and she pushed harder, closing the distance as best she could.
"I'm clo—" and then he jumped. And she came to a hard stop at the edge. He couldn't make it, it would've been impossible to make it, and yet he did, right there on both his feet and kept running. She cursed and bit back a scream and she fielded more calls from the comm. The anger that coursed through her was as useless as she had been and grumbled. Nightwing was coming but she knew the opportunity had passed. People were dead, the police were coming, and the masked man had gotten away.
With the coordinates from Cipher, Oracle scaled down the building and headed to the meetup.
