So these guys weren't talkers. She could handle this. With all the shit she'd done for the Brotherhood, she better be able to handle it. But the man running towards her had a very intense expression on his face, and she was pretty damned certain that he could take her in an arm wrestling match. At least she had a trick up her sleeve that none of them would ever expect.
Hearing the girl's scream, Hayley immediately obeyed her. She did run. Towards them. Within a second, she had run into the first man, taking a fist to the gut as she dealt a parried punch for his jaw. Wheezing, she leaned against him as he grabbed her wrist, twisting her arm behind her back and pushing her face-first against the wall. Her face scraped against the brick, stinging, as he pushed her hips forward with the flat of his thigh. Cringing, she flexed her free hand, keeping it low and out of sight as he cuffed a hand around her neck from behind, protected by the scarf she wore.
As he continued to twist her arm, making her shoulder ache, Hayley reached out with her free hand and fastened her grip around the hand that held her wrist. Her body began to flood with energy, and though she couldn't see him, she heard his breath still. He started to shake as she held on, unable to fight back. Though Hayley had no way of stopping her slowing her ability, she was able to intensify it. Focused on pulling energy away from him, she felt the hum of it run through her arm.
Finally, she released him, letting him drop to the ground behind her. She turned, looking down and catching a wide-eyed stare. For good measure, she kicked him hard in the stomach before darting towards the blonde girl and her attacker, ready for round two.
