When he picked up the puppy, it finally hit her how ridiculous she looked, shying away from a puppy. She sighed, thinking back to what Lil had said the night before. Nothing they did would change this. She smiled apologetically to Will as he straightened up, clasping her hands behind her back. "Awwwww," she said, smiling slightly. "I'm sure she was glad you did."
As he gestured into the living room, she followed him, sitting down in the armchair and folding her hands in her lap. "Mr. Monarch said you weren't lookin' so good, and that someone oughtta check in on you." She paused, rolling her eyes. "Among other things, o'course." Lips pursed, she shook her head slightly. "I'm real sorry about all that. He's still harpin' on about it, too."
