Who: Lilith and Hayley What: Delegating orders Where: Virginia Mason hospital When: Wednesday (3/16) night, around 10 pm Warnings: Lilith being sexy and evil, Hayley being awkward and lame
It had been a terrible week, and it was only Wednesday. Monday had been a giant block of tension and nerves thanks to Sunday's mugging. Tuesday had been spent in and out of half-sleep at her desk thanks to the werewolf madness of Monday night. And the blackout on Tuesday night had completely destroyed all the work she'd been planning to do, turning Wednesday into a madcap scramble to finish the invitations and keep in touch with the printer. But it was done. She had gotten something accomplished even though her entire body ached as if she had run a marathon. Long hours had meant skipped meals, and Hayley found the toll taken on her body was more than she had thought it'd be.
She munched on a granola bar as she walked up to the hospital, free hand stuffed into the pocket of her oversized jacket. With a scarf wrapped around her neck and a knit cap on her head to hide her gray roots - she needed to dye her hair soon - she looked almost like an animated bundle of clothing on legs. Wide green eyes took in the hospital, sweeping over the signs as she passed. Though Lilith didn't tell her exactly where she'd be, Hayley could at least put two and two together.
She was at the ambulance entrance, slipping largely unnoticed past other paramedics and nurses. Every room in the building looked the same, but she managed to find one with a pot of coffee in it, vacant and "break room" looking. Hayley threw her granola bar wrapper in the trash can, wiping her gloved hands together out of habit. Lilith should be there soon. She hoped. Either that, or security would find her first.
