The swat came hard and fast, and was far more painful than she thought it would be. She let out a high pitched whine mingled with a snort, shaking her head and turning away from Will. Her tail dropped, ears remaining flat against her skull. Though the sneer was still on her wolfish lips, she remained silent, fixing him with a long stare before tearing away and trotting around the lab bench island again.
This time, she careened into the door, throwing all of her weight against it. It shivered from the ground to the ceiling, and she could feel the vibrations in her skull. Shaking her head, she reared back and lashed out, reaching up with her paws to scratch at the door. When she failed to break it down, she fell back on all fours, snarling at it.
