Who:Luke Robin and Hayley. What: A rescue! Where: Streets of Seattle. When: Late tonight. Warnings: TBD, likely none.
Despite the threats hanging over his head and those he cared about, Luke refused to give up the mask. He couldn't let someone scare him into hiding; if they all agreed and stayed off the streets that would only be the beginning and from there it would just get worse. Weakness could be exploited and manipulated if it was shown and thus he refused to give Mockingbird that power. Better to fight than to submit to the whims of an invisible bully. Admittedly his search was turning up no results, yet he still continued to combine his usual patrolling as Robin with any leads he could scrape up about the mysterious Mockingbird. None were anything of substance and most were wishful thinking, but it was all he could do in the midst of everything else even if he was trying to be more subtle than he would've been before the threats started coming. No need to draw attention to himself if he could avoid it, after all.
So far the night hadn't been anything out of the ordinary, offering up the same kind of criminal he'd become almost too accustomed to dealing with over the past few months. Robin grappled over to an adjacent building and paused for a moment, surveying the street below that was almost as quiet as the comm in his ear. He spotted a young-looking woman walking along the sidewalk alone, and it was instinct combined with experience that led him to continue watching instead of continuing on. A few seconds later two men stepped out of a darkened alley, watching the woman's retreating back as she turned a corner and barely hesitating before following.
Robin sighed and leapt silently to the next building, deciding that the advantage of height could end the situation before it had a chance to get too far.
