Who: Julian and Evie
What: Food drive, and entertainment sanctioned by Eli...
When: After this
Where: A nearby Supermarket in a well lit area.
Evie was a helper, and a fixer, and do-er. Nothing held her back when she set her mind to something, and especially after her conversation with Eli she was more determined than ever to try and help. She didn't know exactly what was wrong, or what had happened, or much of what was going on. But she didn't have to, she'd been in this pair of shoes before. Walking around in the dark recesses of one's mind was never something to do alone. There would be good days and bad days for her, even now. She wasn't afraid of what she'd find, and she certainly wasn't worried about being in any kind of danger. She just hoped that whatever help she could offer, could actually do some good. If not, she had food. And that was comforting too. She had contemplated bringing Tassle with her, but she'd promised it would be just her, she doubted the dog would bother most people. But in Julian's state, she wasn't sure that it would matter much. So she was alone.
She looked around, her eyes alert, she was packing but she had made a promise to Eli that she wouldn't be obvious about it. But with everything that was going on, at this point it was a safety issue. She didn't holler out for Julian, not wanting to draw attention, but her eyes were peeled as she looked around carefully. A paper shopping bag in one hand, full of food, and her purse around her shoulder on the other side. She looked harmless, and innocent just as she always did. She supposed that was what made people think she was an easy target. Or that there wasn't much between her ears besides air and flights of fancy. She didn't mind that, she was who she was and she wasn't ashamed of it. Not anymore. And sooner or later she hoped she'd learn not to be afraid of it either.
