It didn't change the core question - who would think that torturing innocents was right. Sam bit down on her lip, shaking her head. "They're terrible." She wouldn't say it out-loud - she was getting better on this - but she wished she could do something about it. People shouldn't be hurting others - torturing and killing and kidnapping. No one deserved to get hurt or should be.
She swallowed and ventured, "What do you think they'll do?" She knew that of the two, Sam had the better connection to vigilantes but Luke was someone else. She couldn't think about it and connect the dots - right now, he could. It made her want to be a child again when if a problem came up her father would take care of it. Tuck her into bed, assure her it was a dream before fixing anything that went wrong - until she'd screwed up with Freddie.
