Alright. That was freaking unexpected. He was really just trying to save his ear-drums by reaching out, even if he was just as shaky as she was about this. Not expected to have pretty-girl-without-a-name-launching herself at him. As awkward as he was, instinct and common sense went over him and put his arms around her. He tried patting her shoulder as she started crying. It didn't seem to do much as she whispered - picked up fairly well thanks to his hearing - and Rob had to gulp.
"No, you're right," Rob admitted. He looked past her to the bodies, the police who were putting up the line to stay back, and the people crowded about in similar states of distress. "But they're here now and they look like they're breathing. If we were back home, they'd probably be dead." What he wanted to know though was who was responsible - whether this was across the other buildings, whether this was going to happen again. He tugged his camera from between them so it wouldn't dig into the girl's body, letting it swing to the side.
