This was a usual hour for the Joker to be up. People generally didn't like mornings, yet he always had. You could get things done then, not like night where people expect you too. In the early hours before dawn, things were still and innocent.
Until the sirens came.
He was half-way through getting dressed, but he continued on. Without so much a break in stride, a t-shirt was pulled on, bright red and with some sort of slogan he couldn't be bothered to remember what it was for. His feet shoved into sneakers, laced with a double, efficient knot - and as he grabbed his cell phone, he looked out the window. Not his work, not quite his style. He debated it for three seconds before heading down the stairs. He mingled with the crowd, expression as concerned as the rest of them.
