Blytech's eyes got huge when the lady asked about what he had in his pocket. She was obviously really observant, and he was obviously way too, uh, obvious. Yeah. That was it, they were both obviously different things. He scratched his head and nodded, looking toward the ground.
"Uh, yeah," he said to her. "It's, well, um." Did he really want to tell her he had a gun? He thought about it for a minute. If she was smart enough to notice he had something in his pocket, then she was probably smart enough to know other things. Like if he lied. And Blytech trusted adults almost implicitly, even though he was almost one himself now. Sometimes it was stupid, but it was just something he did. So he nodded. "It's a gun. I don't know if it'll help at all." That was true. He didn't think pointing a gun in someone's face would be a good choice right now, surrounded by cops.
