Jennifer looked over at the man suddenly beside her. Lyddie, good. She responded to his suggestion with a quick nod of agreement. He was professional and a trustworthy M.E., an asset in every faculty. Most importantly, he was the most qualified at the moment to examine what was left of their evidence. Evidently, she noted, looking at the supplies in arms, he'd also come readily prepared. She was impressed.
"Do what you need to," Jennifer agreed, her tone cool and professional. "It's going to be another fifteen at least until we can get a damn perimeter around this area."
Standing close enough where no one would even dare to breath next to the bodies, the detective gave the man his space and stood watch over the area--hoping perhaps for a reasonable eyewitness to pull forward.
