She saw his upward glance, and tilted her eyes toward the sky as well. It was a surprisingly sunny day, the sky as bright as it got in Seattle and the sun warm. She turned her attention back to him, head tilted to one side, a curious expression on her face as she nibbled her way through another piece of funnel cake. "Why wait a few hours?" she asked, genuinely perplexed. Of course, he was the carnival expert, so he probably had a plan. She had no problem following his lead at all. Better he take charge than her; she had no clue hat was going on.
