Reina's reaction to his hand placement didn't register past the initial observation. She didn't pull away, so he just brushed it off as her being surprised. Johnny knew he was a fairly physical person, but he trusted that if it bothered her, she'd say something. Most girls did, and they usually said it loud and clear.
Johnny returned his wallet to his back pocket before following Reina toward one of the various picnic tables. She took a bite and while she savored the taste of the most yummiest thing on the planet, Johnny took a nice healthy chunk to eat. "Mhmm," he mumbled, happily chewing the funnel cake. "It's quite amazing, but wait until you have some of the other stuff, and the rides!" He glanced up at the sky and then back to Reina. "We should wait an hour or two before going on the Ferris Wheel, if you don't mind spending that much time with me," he suggested, adding on the last bit jokingly.
