Re: Walking toward the Ferris Wheel/At the Ferris Wheel
Knowing that they were on equal footing, at least where 'experiences with Ferris Wheels' were concerned, made Athena much more at ease. She wasn't shy by any means, but she was normally very exacting and emotionless in her actions. Here at the carnival, during Valentine's Day where she bid on a stranger to accompany her, Athena felt herself taking down part of her wall. A part that normally wouldn't have allowed her to be truly excited about the whole event.
"I've never been to either," she replied, bringing her attention back to him and shuffling forward in the line. "There just never seemed to be a good time to go, you know?" Athena shrugged, though she doubted the same reasons that stopped her from going where the same as his. How many people spent a few centuries in a remote castle, before becoming a nurse of all things. "Don't think of such things," she chided herself in French, muttered under her breath.
She was saved from being embarrassed for the most part as the ride attendant pointed them in the direction of the last car. Athena slid in, letting Jack take the side closest to the door (a bit girlish of her, but she hardly thought he'd mind). The attendant locked them in and the ride began. Athena had her hands wrapped around the metal bar in front of them for a moment, before deciding it was childish and folding her hands in her lap. She was only a little bit nervous.
