His smile registered as friendly to her, and so Kat didn't mind staying to talk for a few minutes longer. Mr. Gideon was informative at the very least, and friendly in her eyes for merely coming to her place of work. She listened to his explanation with a look of pure curiosity on her face. It seemed like such a strange game, but not completely unfamiliar. It was like a game from Russia, though they played with small pellets half-filled with sand or chalk.
"I have never heard of this version before, but in my country we would play a similar game where we would throw small pellets filled with sand or chalk at each other. It was a childhood game played by all the small children," Kat explained, enthusiastically. "I have been in the US for only a handful of years and I am still very unsure of many things." She seemed almost sad about her lack of knowledge, but it was also something that made her unique.
