Tim had gone dutifully to Pratt Park as requested and had been met by a very clueless courier. This bastard mastermind was starting to get on Tim's nerves. Upon reading note, Tim's blood boiled once more. Continuous threats and mockery of his family wasn't doing anything to curry favor, but Tim supposed that was what the bad guys did. He went home and put it straight in his desk drawer, choosing to enjoy the rest of the day with Harry. The next day, he looked at it again, and began researching who Sara Hawthorne was. He started with a general search, which yielded very little besides some basic, simple facts. Sara Hawthorne was a 19 year old student on the track team, with a scholarship for her athletic ability.
He ventured to the campus then, trying to tease out information. He dressed casually, wearing jeans and long-sleeved v-neck that accented his features. From his research, he knew some of the other girls on the track team, so Tim focused on finding them. Again, it was fairly easy and by the end of the day, Tim had ascertained that Sara worked at a bakery nearby and that she used a bike for transportation. A plan was formulated over the next day or so, and he stopped in at the bakery, though Sara wasn't working then.
The real plan came together the day after. Tim dressed again in casual clothing and stopped at the bike rack, pretending to tie his shoe and loosened the air cap on her back tire. He stood then, and went on his way, stepping into the bookstore across the street. He sat comfortably in one of the chairs in the front window, half reading a book while watching the bakery for Sara to leave.
